Admire the tall ships... on land, on water and in the air!

The best way to spot the ships

The Tall Ships Races are coming to Antwerp! You can admire the ships from Friday 22 July to Monday 25 July. You can do this in a variety of ways. Stroll past the ships, view them from the water or…. fly over and spot them from the air!

The Sailor’s Boulevard

You can visit a tall ship for free and without reservation. Walk down the Sailors’ Boulevard to stroll along all the ships. The walk starts at Steenplein, where you can admire a number of the large ships along the Scheldt Quays. The smaller ships are located at Willemdok and Bonapartedok at the MAS. You will find more impressive ships at Kattendijkdok near the Port House.

Tour on a pleasure ship

Prefer something different? Then book a tour and admire the tall ships from the water. Antwerp Boat Tours offers luxury boat trips. Choose your boat (an authentic saloon boat, a water limo or a whisper boat with electric motor) and a timeslot and get on at the MAS, next to the Nassaubrug. A tour costs 35 euros for 50 minutes and 65 euros for 100 minutes.

By helicopter

Want to make it even more special? Then book a helicopter flight and see the ships from the air! Take off in Kallo and fly over the event area in 7 minutes. Then you will have seen all the ships at once and enjoyed a view you will never forget.

Sail Out

Want to see the entire fleet sail by? Then it’s best to head a little further north. For example, take DeWaterbus to Lillo. The exact times of departure will follow.

Do you want to wave off a particular ship? Then it is best to go to the quays and docks, where the ships depart.
