Shantykoor Blankenberghe

This 40-member choir, led by a female conductor, wears traditional sailor’s attire from the fishing communities along the Flemish coast. The choir is accompanied by three accordions, a large drum, a small drum, and a double bass. Their repertoire consists of shanties, traditionally sung aboard sailing ships, alongside Flemish sea shanties.
